LA DYNASTIE BAYEKE
Le 20 decembre 1891, Le Roi M'siri, fondateur du royaume des Bayeke, est assasine par un officier belge, Bodson Omer. Depuis, chaque annee, au coeur du Haut Katanga, est celebre la mort du premier Roi des Bayeke et la puissance de la Dynastie Bayeke. Des milliers de personnes suivent le cortege de sa Majesté le 8e MWAMI a travers les rues de Bunkeya pour atteindre le Mont-Nkuru, lieu sacre de la region. Ce dernier s'entretiendra toute la nuit avec les rois passés dans un conseil nystique, isolé dans la demeure sacrée, perchée en haut du Mont Nkuru.
BAYEKE DYNASTY
On December 20, 1891, King M'siri, founder of the Bayeke kingdom, was assassinated by a Belgian officer, Bodson Omer. Since then, every year, in the heart of Upper Katanga, the death of the first King of the Bayeke and the power of the Bayeke Dynasty is celebrated. Thousands of people follow the procession of his Majesty the 8th MWAMI through the streets of Bunkeya to reach Mount Nkuru, the sacred place of the region. The latter will talk all night long with the past kings in a nystic council, isolated in the sacred house, perched on the top of Mount Nkuru.
