Pour l'élection présidentielle, Génération Identitaire met tout son poids dans la bataille pour faire élire Marine Le Pen. Jusqu'au soir du premier tour, nous avons suivi les sections de Lille, Lyon et Paris du mouvement, fortes d'une cinquantaine de membre chacune. De jeunes militants, rarement plus âgés que 30 ans. Ils ont remisé crânes rasés, tatouages et croix celtiques, rompant avec leur aïeux, pour séduire le plus grand nombre. Collage dans les rues, formations militantes, manifestations contre les migrants, ouverture d'un local, activisme sur les réseaux sociaux, ils sont sur tous les fronts pour imposer leur thème : l'identité. Ils vivent l'élection de Donald Trump comme un tournant. Pour eux, c'est le présage de la victoire de leurs idées en France.

For the presidential election, Génération Identitaire puts all its weight in the battle to get Marine Le Pen elected. Until the evening of the first round, we followed the Lille, Lyon and Paris sections of the movement, each with about fifty members. Young activists, rarely older than 30. They put back shaved skulls, tattoos and Celtic crosses, breaking with their forefathers, to seduce as many people as possible. Collage in the streets, militant training, demonstrations against migrants, opening of premises, activism on social networks, they are on all fronts to impose their theme: identity. They experience the election of Donald Trump as a turning point. For them, it is the omen of the victory of their ideas in France.
