L'Exil en retour
Cette série présente des portraits de syriens exilés au Liban dans l'attente de la fin de la guerre et d'un possible retour. À Beyrouth, sans avoir le droit de travailler et parfois privés de leurs papiers ou coincés dans des camps de réfugiés où ils doivent s'acquitter d'un loyer pour leur tente, l'eau et l'électricité, ils essaient de garder l'espoir de reconstruire leur vie.
Il y a environ 1,4 millions de syriens au Liban dans ce pays à l'équilibre fragile qui a lui-même un passé conflictuel avec la Syrie dont les stigmates encore visibles rappellent la brutalité de ceux qui les ont rendus en exil.
The waiting exile
This series presents portraits of Syrians exiled in Lebanon in anticipation of the end of the war and a possible return. In Beirut, without the right to work and sometimes deprived of their papers or trapped in refugee camps where they have to pay rent for their tent, water and electricity, they try to keep the hope of rebuilding their lives.
There are about 1.4 million Syrians in Lebanon in this country with a fragile balance, which itself has a history of conflict with Syria, whose still visible stigmas recall the brutality of those who have driven them into exile.
