La vue sur les toits de Paris est impressionnante depuis le potager de l'université AgroParisTech. Une équipe travaille depuis plusieurs sur le potager expérimental urbain créé sur le toit du campus en plein coeur de Paris. Les objectifs sont multiples. Limiter la dépendance alimentaire des métropoles à terme, dans un contexte où la population urbaine est en constante augmentation. Limiter le rayonnement du soleil sur les toits grace à un espace vert et réduire la température dans quartiers. Réduire la quantité d'eau rejetée dans les rues lors de pluies.
Urban vegetable garden and agricultural research
The view of the rooftops of Paris is impressive from the vegetable garden of AgroParisTech University. A team has been working for several years on the experimental urban vegetable garden created on the roof of the campus in the heart of Paris. The objectives are multiple. To limit the food dependence of metropolises in the long term, in a context where the urban population is constantly increasing. Limit the sun's radiation on the roofs thanks to a green space and reduce the temperature in the neighborhoods. Reduce the amount of water discharged into the streets during rainfall.
