T.O.T.E.M IN MEMORY
Pendant plus de 10 ans, le T.O.T.E.M (Territoire Organise Temporairement en Espace Merveilleux), dans les marges de la province du Grand Est, a ete l'un des plus hauts lieux de l'underground francais et europeen. A chaque édition du festival Souterrain, des performers radicaux exposés du MOMA jusqu'aux confins de la Pologne, débaroulaient du monde entier pour questionner l'époque à coup de claques visuelles dont les échos résonnent dans les temps qu'elles ont su prédire. Le monstre, le cyborg, le héro, l'amour, autant de thématiques ouvertes aux plasticiens, performers, musiciens, dont les démonstrations s'achevaient rituellement par un cabaret rouge version XXIe siècle : une grande foire manga, fetish, latex, transgenre, bref open aux freaks de tous horizons confondus avec les milliers de spectateurs locaux venus s'explorer l'imaginaire. Le château a dû fermer, après une sale levée de fourches, un incendie programmé des subventions, et son baron samedi, Didier Manuel allias ODM, un artiste protéiforme ultra engagé, a dû plier bagages pour boxer la situation ailleurs et autrement.
