Second tour des élections législatives en France, soirée électorale au QG d'Alexis Chaussalet. Le candidat NFP (Nouveau Front Populaire) de la 3e circonscription à la Reunion, Alexis Chaussalet, affrontait le candidat RN (Rassemblement National) Joseph Rivière. Le candidat RN l'emporte avec 51% des voix contre 49% pour Alexis Chaussalet. C'est la première fois que le département ultramarin envoie un député RN à l'Assemblée Nationale. Pendant que les militants et soutiens se rassemblent dans la pièce principale pour regarder les résultats en direct, le candidat de 31 ans et son entourage proche comptabilisent les résultats qui arrivent au fur et à mesure, bureau par bureau, dans une petite pièce au fond du bâtiment. Les scores sont extêmement serrés. L'ambiance est un mélange d'espoir, d'inquiétude et d'ascenseurs émotionnels.

Second round of legislative elections in France, election night at Alexis Chaussalet's HQ. Alexis Chaussalet, NFP (New Popular Front) candidate for Reunion's 3rd constituency, faced RN (National Rally) candidate Joseph Rivière. The RN candidate won with 51% of the vote to Alexis Chaussalet's 49%. This is the first time the French overseas department has sent an RN deputy to the National Assembly. While activists and supporters gathered in the main room to watch the results live, the 31-year-old candidate and his close entourage tallied the results as they came in, office by office, in a small room at the back of the building. The scores are extremely close. The atmosphere is a mixture of hope, anxiety and emotional elevators.
