Le camp de Cavani regroupe des migrants venus de differents pays d'Afrique, aux abords du stade de Cavani. Le camp compte désormais une cinquantaine de tentes. Au moins 200 personnes y vivent.
Dans un contexte très tendu entre les migrants et les Mahorais, le camp de Cavani fait régulièrement office de cible, notamment de caillassages, voire d'agressions physiques directes. C'est le cas d'Hendrick, par exemple, agressé à la tête en pleine nuit dans l'enceinte-même du camp.
INSIDE THE MIGRANT CAMP OF CAVANI
The Cavani camp brings together migrants from various African countries on the outskirts of Cavani stadium. The camp now has around fifty tents. At least 200 people are living there.
In a highly tense context between the migrants and the Mahorais, the Cavani camp is regularly targeted, notably for stoning and even direct physical aggression. This is the case of Hendrick, for example, who was attacked on the head in the middle of the night inside the camp.
