En effet en septembre 2022 à Zahédan, capitale Sunnite du Sistan-et-Baloutchistan fut le théâtre d'une forte répression de la part des forces de l'ordre qui fit environ 90 morts dont deux colonels des Pasdarans. Ces journées de violence était dû à une suspicion de viol d'une adolescente de 15 ans Baloutche par le chef de la police de la ville portuaire de Chabahar. Le président iranien Ebrahim Raïssi a ordonné jeudi 6 octobre 2022 l'ouverture d'une enquête sur ces violences.

In September 2022, Zahedan, the Sunni capital of Sistan and Baluchistan, was the scene of a crackdown by the security forces that left around 90 people dead, including two Pasdaran colonels. The days of violence were sparked by the suspected rape of a 15-year-old Baluchi girl by the police chief of the port city of Chabahar. Iranian President Ebrahim Raissi ordered an investigation into the violence on Thursday October 6, 2022.
