Tunis - Le Fort Chikly
Le Fort Chikky, au coeur du Lac de Tunis est en plein centre de la capitale. Depuis l'île sur laquelle il est niché, on aperçoit les bâtiments du centre ville, l'Avenue Mohamed V, mais aussi la Banlieue Nord, Sidi Bou Saïd, Carthage et La Goulette. Aujourd'hui, l'île est interdite d'accès au public, pour protéger les oiseaux migrateurs qui y séjournent. Ce reportage est donc une exploration urbaine à la découverte de cette ancienne citadelle romaine reconstruite par le gouverneur espagnol de La Goulette entre 1546 et 1550.
Tunis - The Chikly Fort
Fort Chikky, in the heart of Tunis Lake, is right in the centre of the capital. From the island on which it nestles, you can see the buildings of the city centre, Avenue Mohamed V, as well as the northern suburbs, Sidi Bou Saïd, Carthage and La Goulette. Today, the island is off-limits to the public, to protect the migratory birds that stay there. This report is therefore an urban exploration to discover this ancient Roman citadel rebuilt by the Spanish governor of La Goulette between 1546 and 1550.
