A vingt ans, tout juste sortie de l'école d'architecture, Iwona Buczkowska, a la chance de voir son projet de diplôme se construire.
Nait alors cette étonnante coté HLM néo-médiévale de maisons pointues tout en bois empilées et imbriquées avec un grand espace vert tout autour.
Plus précisément : 225 logements sociaux, tous différents, sur un, deux ou trois niveaux, avec chacun ses terrasses, son bout de jardin , ses recoins et ses fenêtres qui regardent dans toutes les directions et surtout vers le ciel.
Et le tout au coeur d'un ilôt vert de 6 hectares sans aucunes voitures (le parking est en dessous) mais ouvert sur la ville.
C'est aussi un paradis des chats et des oiseaux, s'il est vraiment envisageable de les faire cohabiter.

At the age of twenty, just out of architecture school, Iwona Buczkowska had the chance to see her diploma project being built.
The result was this astonishing neo-medieval low-cost housing estate of pointed wooden houses stacked and interlocking with a large green space all around.
More precisely: 225 social housing units, all different, on one, two or three levels, each with its terraces, its piece of garden, its nooks and crannies and its windows that look in all directions and especially towards the sky.
And all of this in the heart of a 6 hectare green island without any cars (the car park is below) but open to the city.
It is also a paradise for cats and birds, if it is really possible to make them cohabit.
