Préparation des vendanges
C’est au cours de la matinée ensoleillée du 02 Septembre 2025 que Stéphane Bonjean fait le tour des ces vignes. Localisées sur la zone AOC vin de Châteauguay, le vigneron auvergnat circule dans ses vignes pour en contrôler l’état. Après les phases caniculaires, une période de pluie intense a permis au raisin de se gorger suffisamment d’eau avant la récolte. Après un contrôle visuel des grappes, un examen de la concentration d’alcool est fait grâce au réfractomètre pour alcool.
De retour au chai, une fois le tour des vignes fait, le vigneron va contrôler son vin reposant dans ses fûts d'élevage sous le village de Blanzat. Ces caves atypiques, sont creusées dans la coulée de lave descendant de la chaîne des Puys à plusieurs kilomètres de là.
Décision est prise pour le vigneron qui va organiser la récolte très prochainement.
Preparing for the harvest
It was on the sunny morning of September 2, 2025, that Stéphane Bonjean took a tour of his vineyards. Located in the Châteauguay AOC wine region, the Auvergne winemaker walked through his vineyards to check on their condition. After a heatwave, a period of heavy rain allowed the grapes to soak up enough water before harvest. After a visual inspection of the bunches, the alcohol concentration was checked using an alcohol refractometer.
Back at the winery, once the tour of the vineyards is complete, the winemaker will check on his wine resting in its aging barrels below the village of Blanzat. These unusual cellars are dug into the lava flow descending from the Chaîne des Puys several kilometers away.
The winemaker decided to organize the harvest very soon.
