A l'automne 2019, la Zone Libre ouvrait ses portes dans la ville de Cenon. Ce sont 80 familles, 110 enfants, des personnes en situation de handicap et des femmes enceintes, qui investissent les lieux avec l'aide des associations locales. Transformant ainsi cet ancien EHPAD en petit village d'où s'échappe à présent les rires des enfants. Presque toutes et tous sont scolarisés. Ils ont été finalement expulsés le 12 février 2021 par les pouvoirs publics, en pleine pandémie de Covid19, en plein hiver.

In autumn 2019, the Free Zone opened its doors in the town of Cenon. 80 families, 110 children, people with disabilities and pregnant women are taking over the premises with the help of local associations. Thus transforming this former EHPAD into a small village from which the laughter of the children is now escaping. Almost all of them are in school. They were finally expelled on 12 February 2021 by the public authorities, in the middle of the Covid19 pandemic, in the middle of winter.
