Quartier du Bas Chantenay
Situé en bord de Loire, à une petite demi-heure du centre de Nantes à pied, un quartier qui n'attire personne à priori. C'est un peu à l'abandon, il y a des usines, il y a les chantiers de l'Esclain. Y vivre n'est pas vraiment très joyeux mais pour créer, là ! Pour le coup, le lieu est idéal ! Ce n'est donc pas un quartier qui se meurt comme nous pourrions nous l'imaginer bien au contraire, il est réhabiliter par des artistes. Différentes associations d'artistes ou des créateurs à leur compte se trouvent dans cette rue. Et par de là un public nantais s'y déplace pour profiter de concerts ou d'exposition, le Bas Chantenay est en fait bien actif !
Ce quartier de bâtiments industriels en friche, réinvesti par des petites entreprises ou des associations va se retrouver en pleine mutation. L'ancienne carrière Miséry va accueillir l'Arbre aux Hérons fabriqué par les Machines de l'Île, il sera mis en place pour l'année 2021. En attendant, la ville a plein de projet pour remodeler les alentours.
