LANZAROTE, UNE ILE PAS COMME LES AUTRES
Au large de l'Afrique du Nord, Lanzarote la plus septentrionale des iles Canaries, offre des paysages uniques aux yeux de ses habitants et des visiteurs. Au fil de leurs éruptions les volcans omniprésents ont modelé l'environnement naturel auquel les humains ont du s'adapter.
La lave et les cendres noires recouvrent le sol de l'ile et l'eau étant rare il a fallu beaucoup de génie pour survivre.
Lanzarote a aussi la chance d'avoir vu naitre sur son sol l'artiste César Manrique qui a fait en sorte qu'elle ne subisse pas la fièvre immobilière des autres côtes Espagnoles, l'architecture des villages a été préservée et un peu partout on peut voir les oeuvres de l'artiste épousant avec respect et admiration la nature qu'il vénérait.

Off the coast of North Africa, Lanzarote, the northernmost of the Canary Islands, offers unique landscapes to its inhabitants and visitors alike. Over time, the omnipresent volcanoes have shaped the natural environment to which humans have had to adapt.
Lava and black ash cover the island's soil, and with water being scarce, it took a great deal of ingenuity to survive.
Lanzarote is also fortunate to have been the birthplace of the artist César Manrique, who ensured that it did not suffer the property boom of other Spanish coasts. The architecture of the villages has been preserved and everywhere you can see the artist's works, which respect and admire the nature he revered.
