LES GRANDS D
Les « Grands D », comme ils s'appellent, viennent du Portugal, de France, d'Espagne, de Moldavie, d'Ukraine ou du Maghreb. Ils travaillent pour une centaine de sous-traitants différents. Sur le chantier, nationalité rime avec spécialité : Les Roumains et les Polonais s?occupaient du bétonnage et du ferraillage au début du chantier. Quelques Américains arrivent aujourd'hui pour tenter de rectifier les soudures défaillantes. Certains métiers, comme la sécurité, la serrurerie ou le câblage réclament à d'autres d'être présents sur le site depuis des années.
The Big D's
The "Big Ds", as they are called, come from Portugal, France, Spain, Moldavia, Ukraine or North Africa. They work for a hundred different subcontractors. On the site, nationality rhymes with speciality: the Romanians and Poles were in charge of concreting and reinforcement at the beginning of the site. Today, a few Americans are arriving to try to rectify faulty welds. Some trades, such as security, locksmithing or cabling, require others to have been present on the site for years.
