Des corps suspendus hors du temps. Urgence, information massive, instantanéité, sur-sollicitation, etc. Pratiquer l'apnée, c'est explorer le monde, étirer le temps, plonger dans les plus beaux paysages sous-marins certes, mais c'est avant tout sonder son monde intérieur. Ce sport agit comme une sorte de thérapie et devient un mode de vie, une philosophie pour les apnéistes. Après une séance, on baille, on se frotte les yeux, une sensation de bien-être s'installe. Car malgré les préjugés, l'apnée ce n'est pas arrêter de respirer mais apprendre à mieux respirer.
