Dans le Finistère, Pont-Croix reçoit le prix "Best tourism village" de l'ONU
Sur les bords de la rivière Goyen, la ville de Pont-Croix est connue pour ses rues pavées en pente, sa très belle église Notre-Dame-de-Roscudon et sa nature environnante. Lancé en 2021 par l'ONU, ce prix vise à promouvoir le rôle du tourisme dans la sauvegarde des villages ruraux. Plusieurs critères sont évalués par un jury comme la promotion et la conservation des ressources culturelles, la durabilité économique, sociale et environnementale et l’attention, portée à la fois aux touristes mais aussi et surtout aux habitants. Un guide des "Meilleurs villages touristiques" est édité chaque année par l’ONU qui devrait attirer justement de nouveaux visiteurs internationaux.
In Brittany, Pont-Croix gets OU prize "Best tourism village"
On the banks of the Goyen River, the town of Pont-Croix is known for its sloping cobbled streets, its beautiful Notre-Dame-de-Roscudon church and its surrounding nature. Launched in 2021 by the UN, this award aims to promote the role of tourism in saving rural villages. Several criteria are evaluated by a jury such as the promotion and conservation of cultural resources, economic, social and environmental sustainability and the attention paid both to tourists but also and especially to residents. A guide to the “Best Tourism Villages” is published each year by the UN which should attract new international visitors.
